When the claim is pending, how much should I claim from the patient?

At all times and regardless of the insurer involved, you must claim the amount covering the entire cost of care, for two reasons:
1. You do not know the amount that will be reimbursed by the insurer.
2. It is easier for you to reimburse the patient quickly if you receive a second payment from the insurer than it is for you to recover your fees from your patient.

Did you receive a "detail of benefits" with a confirmation number AND the reimbursement amount?
